Oh, my goodness. I just realized I haven’t blogged since October. I’m sure all five of my readers have been dying to know (lol). Well, if you’re keeping up with us on Facebook, odds are you have some idea. What can I say? Where haven’t we been? Man, these past few months have been crazy. And odds are, they’ll only get crazier for the next few months, as we finish up the episodes and send them off to EWTN for review and approval. I just sent three off yesterday, and am excited to hear what they have to say. I must admit, if the rest of the season ends up being as awesome as those three shows were, you’re all in for some good stuff. 🙂
Ok, yes, I’m biased. But I know what I like, and I like these shows. I wouldn’t like them if they were bad, even if I did put them together. LOL.
Anyway, much to do. I just took a break to wrap some Christmas gifts for David and thought I’d take this opportunity to wish you all a blessed Christmas and a new year filled with much joy and peace. May God bless us all this year.
And, as always, I thought I’d ask for some prayers. The more, the merrier, I always say. You’d be surprised how much I feel God’s influence as I edit these shows. Ok, that might sound horribly cheesy to some of you, but hey. It’s true. For instance, the other day, I was looking for a song—the song—for a part of a show. It’s all very organic the way I edit these shows. I have a script. Usually that changes as I edit the video. But the songs make or break it, you know? They set the scene, the mood. Anyway, I was looking for a song for this one part. I said a prayer—”Jesus, what do you want me to use here?” And suddenly, a song popped in my head. I couldn’t remember whose song it was, but I had a feeling I knew… I found it in my iTunes, dropped it into the timeline, and BOOM! The piece came together.
Seriously. I know myself. I am not that good. So I thanked Jesus and kept on working. 🙂
Before I go, I would like to plug some of the absolutely amazing musicians whose music I have used so far. Keep in mind, before this project, I never listened to Christian or God-related music other than what I heard at Mass or during Christmastime. Not even the popular ones like Amy Grant. I just didn’t like it. Thought it was too cheesy to enjoy.
Well, these guys changed my mind. Check them out. Buy some of their CDs for Christmas presents. Seriously. They all ROCK.
