shapeimage_2-5This week, EWTN is airing Episode 5 of The Faithful Traveler, featuring two locations in Maryland that are associated with St. Elizabeth Ann Seton: St. Mary’s Spiritual Center and Historic Site on Paca Street in Baltimore and the National Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Emmitsburg.

This was one of the first shows we shot after we signed the show with EWTN. It was very exciting–after about 5 years of prep, we finally had a network, and we actually had a deadline! LOL. So everything started happening VERY quickly. I blogged about our experiences shooting this episode almost exactly a year ago (how funny!). You can read those blogs here, here, and here.

This episoide features a really awesome song by Sharmane, called “I Am Yours”. The minute I heard it, I KNEW I had to use it in one of our shows, and I thought it would be perfect to use it in a show featuring a female saint–almost so that Sharmane could be her voice, in a way. It’s so upbeat and infectious, just like St. Elizabeth Ann’s faith. Her love was infectious, and her legacy continues to touch the lives of millions of people around the world.

I can’t recommend a visit to these locations enough–the Mother Seton House on Paca Street is VERY nicely kept up by the Sulpician fathers. They just built a beautiful new visitor center there, so you can look into St. Elizabeth Ann’s life, and read about all the holy men and women who spent time there. The country’s first seminary was originally right next door, so many well-known Catholics spent some time there!

The National Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton is just AMAZING! Definitely worth at least a day’s visit. And since it’s a highway exit away from Gettysburg, it’s a great place to visit for a learning vacation!! And there’s even a tie between St. Elizabeth Ann’s Daughters of Charity and the men wounded or killed at Gettysburg! So go check it out!

Next week, make sure you watch Episode 6 on Philadelphia’s Miraculous Medal Shrine!

BUT BE ON NOTICE!!!

Episode 6 is airing at 6 pm on Sunday, instead of the normally scheduled 5 pm EST.

While you all are enjoying the shows (and doing other things!), I’m working hard on getting the DVDs created for those of you who have been asking. Please keep us in your prayers, as there are always technical difficulties of pone sort or another… LOL.

And I have some good news. But it has to wait… suffice it to say that good things are happening. And it’s all because of YOU!!

I’ll let you know as soon as I can. In the meantime, WATCH THE SHOW and tell your friends!!

Happy Easter, everyone!
