IMG_0130-2-1024x682Ok, so, yesterday’s post was a downer, and I hate leaving things in a not-so-happy place. So, today, I’m going to share with you some of the many happy emails and comments we’ve received from viewers.

You have to understand where we are right now–for years, we created this thing… this baby show, that we recently set out into the world, as we stayed home to watch what happened. It’s out there, living its life, and we have NO IDEA what people think of it, unless they tell us! LOL. So, TELL ME. What’s working? What’s not working? What jokes are funny? What falls flat? What new things are you learning? What could we be doing better?

I have no idea if this show has any future. Honestly, I think that’s entirely up to God. We’ll see what He wants. But if there is more… how might we make it better? Let us know. I really want to know. 🙂

In the meantime, here is some of the joy that you all have sent our way. Thank you for making the release of our baby into the world just that much easier. 🙂

Watching you on Life on the Rock and the idea of your show is wonderful and much needed today.  The parish I belong to St. Mark (Brooklyn, NY) is celebrating it’s 150th anniversary next year and I was wondering if there is any way you would consider doing a show about it.  Personally, I don’t really know the history behind it, but am certainly willing to help you with it.  Please let me know.

Thank you and God bless you and your family. –Allison

Hi, Diana.  I saw you on Life on the Rock today.  … I am so excited to see that you will be visiting churches in USA.  God has truly given you a calling to evangelize and what better way to do so that to visit all the homes that man has erected for Him in honor of His saints, our brothers and sisters.  Please let me know how we can recapture St. Rita Program.  Thanks and you and your mission will be in our prayers.   –Alice

I just finished watching Worldwide Fatima Sanctity of Life Day at the Blue Army Shrine.  I saw your promotion at the end on “The Faithful Traveler” and am VERY excited for the show to start airing. Whenever I am on vacation with my family, we try to visit local shrines, cathedrals, basilicas, etc., and so I will DEFINITELY DVR the series and have my family watch for new ideas on places to visit. One place that you mentioned, and we visited last April, was the St. John Neumann Shrine in Philadelphia.  We were there days after an electrical fire in the downstairs chapel.  … [T]here was an electrical fire from the lectern right next to the body of St. John Neumann.  The flames shot straight up to the ceiling, but never encroached the body that is there right under the alter.  The fire raged for hours before anyone realized it.  It was nothing short of a miracle that nothing happened to his body or the altar, which was only 8-10 feet from the lectern.  I hope someone from the shrine shared this story with you.

May God bless your work.  Let me know if there is anything I can do for you…. –Jeff

A couple of weeks ago, I was bringing my son back to school…. Put the radio on the local PBS station, and happened to hear the interview with Diana. Very interesting to hear what you guys are doing. Made sure to check on EWTN for the schedule. My wife and I have really enjoyed the last couple of shows. Hope you keep up the great work. May God continue to bless you. –Mike

Dear Diana, Like you, I am a cradle Roman Catholic.  I have also been a loyal fan of EWTN for quite some time.  Last night I saw your interview on Life On The Rock and was very moved by how you are trying to teach persons of Catholic faith (and anyone else) about what they thought they knew about Catholicism!  Your unique and sincere approach is creative in that it presents the Faith in a more tangible way.  It is truly inspiring. This is, I believe, exactly what is needed to grab the attention of people today, with so much “noise” (worldly distractions). In my opinion, your work is a great example of how the new Catholic evangelism should be carried out. It is also a perfect example of how Pope Benedict XVI wants Christians to use today’s social media technology for evangelism! … I wish you all the best with your show.  I know I will be tuned in!  May the Good Lord give you the fortitude to keep doing this for a long time. We are all blessed because you wisely chose to leave the world of Law! God Bless You and Your Creative Work Always, –Daniel

Hey Diana, kudos on the show, great idea. I just happened to turn on EWTN after a long day at the office and saw your appearance on Life on the Rock introducing the Faithful Traveller. I was working late trying to get things sorted out before heading off on a trip with my Dad to Spain and France (where we’re going to visit Lourdes) this Sunday. Funny thing is, the types of questions you were discussing have been on my mind for the last few days. Listening to you talk about how to think about and approach travel so that it can have spiritual value as well as being fun was helpful. I really think travel is one of the best parts of life and can help us get perspective on our lives and our relationship with God, so a show that facilitates that, with a website with lots of resources, and that teaches us something about the faith? Great idea! All the best, –Chris

Hi, I just discovered your site and show. I wish you all the best in your venture! I’ve been in the travel business for 25 years, and I’ve long thought that EWTN needed a Catholic version of Rick Steves. … Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help promote your show. Pax, — Mark

I saw you today as you hosted the Worldwide Sanctity of Life program.  Great job! The reason I’m writing is to say that I think that your new series, “The Faithful Traveler”, is an awesome idea and our family is looking forward to seeing it!  Whoever came up with the idea is a genius, and I’m sure that it will be a hit!  Travel shows on the secular networks are popular and this one will, no doubt, educate and encourage travel to the featured destinations. Keep up the good work and keep spreading the word!  –George

I just saw your interview on EWTN today and I was very impressed.  It is nice to see someone just getting out there and doing something they really want to do.  I look forward to catching an episode of your show.  I know that creative projects are very demanding and the fact that you and your husband are doing all of your own work is amazing.  Thank you for doing this project-you guys are an inspiration!  i’ll be praying for you, may God bless you, your husband and your work. Take care, — Jennifer

This is reality TV at its finest.  Please keep your show going. I e-mailed EWTN to let them know how I feel.  Thanks for all you do.

–Karen

Heard on EWTN yesterday. This was so needed! God bless you and your husband! –Leonardo

Just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy “The Faithful Traveler” on EWTN.  You are adorable…! Keep up the good work…!

P.S. My favorite moment so far was when you were praying the way of the Guardian Angel of Portugal taught the children and your head was on the ground with hair all over the place.  It was an amusing TV moment that you don’t see very often! 🙂 –Lee

I have just watched the beautiful episode on St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, NY.  Thank you for your wonderful gift of sharing the faith and  history.  –Linda

I just watched your show for the first time (it was St. Katherine Drexel).  I just want to say how absolutely AWESOME your show is.  I’m sure it is truly anointed!  God Bless you!  I love your show and my friends and I are now excited to get busy with some local traveling. Thank you.  –Mary

Diana, I saw an ad on EWTN last night announcing your show and immediately went to the internet to learn more.  Last spring I left my job (voluntarily) to take a 40 day journey cross country to visit cathedrals and shrines in the U.S. with the intent of capturing the beauty most people never see.  I have been taking photos of church events as a way to give back to the church on a part time basis for about 7 years, and during that time saw so many beautiful places and participated in a lot of wonderful events and liturgies including Pope Benedict XVI’s Mass for the Religious at St Patrick’s Cathedral in NYC. Like you, whenever traveling, I have stopped in churches whenever and wherever I could.  I have a deep love for the Catholic faith.  Having traveled on business (software sales) through the years, I always marveled at the sacred beauty in our churches that went unseen by most.  I often thought of the artist and artisans who created such beauty inspired by the Holy Spirit, only to see their work dormant or locked up as in many of our great inner city churches. …. Kind Regards and God Bless, –Bob

Congratulations on a wonderful new EWTN program. The whole concept of the show is very inspiring the beauty of the shrine, the lesson learned, and the music were awesome. I look forward to the upcoming travels. Thank you! –Pamela

Hello Diana, how lucky did I get while channel surfing to find you on TV.  I watched and was so amazed at your talk on St. Rita’s shrine. I grew up in South Phila. and made many Novena there and my 2nd son was baptized there as well. I now live in the suburbs closer to the Shrine of St. Kathryn Drexel.  Good luck with your show and I will be checking for updates on your web site.

Good Luck, you’re on to a wonderful idea. –Rita

Thank you for a great and innovative show.  I watched your interview on life on the rock and you are an inspiration to all of us.  I always map out churches in my travels.  It started by looking for churches to attend Sunday mass at but going to see the local church of the town I’m visiting has grown to be part of every itinerary.  At times they may be closed but I consider myself blessed when they are open because like you said, they often tell the story of faith in that town.  Thank you again, Love the show.  –Nila

Diana, I caught your show Sunday afternoon, while I was surfing the channels.  It is a fabulous program.  The episode was on Katherine Drexel.  There was a song playing while looking at the Shrine.  I would like to know the title/artist of the song.  Some of the words are ‘How do you want me to change the world today,’ and What can I do from my own backyard?’  It is a beautiful song of stewardship.  I also caught you as a guest on Life on the Rock later on in the evening.  The Lord has blessed you with a special gift and I am glad I have the opportunity to be touched by you.  Thank you. May God bless you more, –Maria

Wow!  Flipping channels today while away from work and happen to catch part of the preview segment.  I must say this is something many of us Catholics have been eagerly awaiting-something new and invigorating and yet steeped in the history and tradition of our Faith!  BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!  –Edward
