It’s crunch time, ladies and gentlemen. Time to deliver final shows to EWTN for the debut of The Faithful Traveler. I’ve been working like crazy (I know… I sound like a broken record…). Last night, I think I got about 3 hours of sleep. But somehow, miraculously I think, I’m not dying of exhaustion. I’m so excited, I have so much to do, and I love what I’m doing, why sleep?
So, at long last, I feel confident enough to announce our slots on EWTN in March. Drumroll please….
The Faithful Traveler will debut on Thursday, March 4th at 1:00 pm EST, with a repeat showing on Sunday at 5 pm EST. I’m guessing they’ll air a new show each week, and then they decide what they want to do with reruns. I don’t know too much about that yet. All I know is if I don’t get these shows to them in time, they won’t be airing nothing with my name on it! LOL
It’s been very exciting. I can’t really believe we’re at this point, and to be honest, I don’t think it’ll hit me until I watch the show on TV. When EWTN plays it. I’ve seen every one of our shows about five bazillion times… And then, today, I was thinking, “when this is all over, I’m going to take a nap…” That’s all I could think of. LOL.
I have to say, what I believed to be the hardest part of this endeavor–cleaning up the sound and color and delivering the shows–has turned out to be quite simple. Of course, EWTN hasn’t received the shows yet, and checked them to make sure I pass all the broadcasting tests. When they give me the ok, I will breathe a deep sigh of relief. And then get back to work. Honestly, I think God is really helping me here. I’m not that skilled for this to be going so smoothly. But, my mom was telling me the other day that she was praying for me, and she said to God, “She’s doing this for You, so HELP HER!” LOL. With moms like that, how can God say no? She’s my St. Monica, I tell you. Always has been.
Oh, and I can’t forget to mention the fabulous photo above, taken by my beloved friend Steve Legato, a photographer I met while working on cookbooks who has since become a very good friend. We spent a day last week at the Miraculous Medal Shrine in Philly, and it was a joy.
Now, back to work. I have 9 more final shows to deliver yesterday. Please keep us in your prayers, because they’re working, I tell you! And set your DVRs and Tivos for March 4th. I hope you all like the show.
