It’s been a while since I’ve posted on my blog. I’ve been ridiculously busy, both with my regular job as a legal editor and with doing stuff for The Faithful Traveler. While we still have a few locations left to shoot, I’ve been focusing a lot of my time on post production–editing, finding images, music, etc.

This weekend, I put together three spots—commercials, promos… who knows what the real term is for these things—which will be aired on EWTN on October 18th, during the Worldwide Fatima Sanctity of Life Day for which I will be Master of Ceremonies. If you’re anywhere near Allentown, PA or Washington, NJ that day, or want to come out for the festivities, please join us!! The more, the merrier!

Anyway, the event will be aired on EWTN live, and so Mike, the shrine director, figured there may be some down time, which would be a good opportunity to give people a bit of a taste of The Faithful Traveler.

(Am I speaking English? I am feeling like I’m having a hard time putting words together this morning, so forgive me if I sound convoluted…)

I’m going to put these up on the main website sometime soon, but for now, here are the spots, with commentary:

SPOT 1:   Answering the question “Who is Diana von Glahn?” and “What is The Faithful Traveler?”

The music used in these spots comes free with in our editing suite, and when I first heard this song, I knew I had to use it. “It’s so Quentin Tarantino!” I thought. Funky and fun. It’s playful. It moves. When I told David i wanted to use it in the spot, he thought I was crazy. But I just thought, “well, it won’t hurt to try something.” We both liked the end result. I hope you do, too.

SPOT 2:  A preview of our show on the Blue Army Shrine.

There is SO MUCH to see at this shrine. This song gives me a good opportunity to show you some of it. Does it make you want to see more? That’s the point. Go to the shrine or watch our show… or both!

SPOT 3:  Another preview of our show on the Blue Army Shrine, focusing on Fatima.

This week is my birthday week. I’ll be working hard, planning my birthday meal, and getting ready for October 18th. Please keep us in your prayers, especially David, as he gets ready to go to Europe for a business trip.

Let me know what you think of these spots. I’d love to hear!! And if you come to the shrine on October 18th, come and say hi! It’s always fun to meet people!
