Ok, so I’m a few days late posting this exciting news. Blame it on my brilliance. For some reason, I decided to stop drinking coffee two days before a shoot. I’ve had a withdrawal headache ever since. Ay… Well, and we’ve been busy.
So, exciting news: it’s official! The Faithful Traveler has officially signed with EWTN (Eternal Word Television Network) for a March 2010 airing!! We’ll be posting particulars as the date nears, but now is the time to start spreading the word!!
My friends and family know that this has been brewing for quite some time; since last year, at least. But these things take time and patience, and in this economy, we are thrilled that EWTN has decided to take a chance on our show. Of course, we know that they and their viewers wont be disappointed!
I remember when we first starting planning The Faithful Traveler. Gosh, it was right around the time we got married in 2003 (I might have shared all of this before… but humor me!). A good friend of mine—a well-loved Daughter of St. Paul, whom I’ve known since high school—said that I should pray that God’s will be done, even if that meant that the show never come to fruition. I’ve kept that in my heart ever since, and have thought about it often, especially during the rough times producing this show—and there have been many. But I just kept telling God that this was all for Him, and that I didn’t want to do it if it wasn’t. I feel confident that He has guided us through the process, and we have grown in all aspects of our lives as a result. I’m grateful for that. Here we are, trying to do a little something for Him, and look at what He gives us in return! He rocks. 🙂
And so, we continue to do what we’ve been doing for the past 5 years: shooting, editing, color correcting… it will hopefully end in December, when we deliver to the network. And then a whole new season of planning will begin… Until then, please keep us in your prayers and spread the word! Tell your friends about us!
